In recognition of his accomplishments in the vacuum cleaner industry,
The Eureka Company nominated David E. Ristenbatt as a candidate to be
inducted into the International Vacuum Industry Hall of Fame. The picture
on this page is of a replica of the plaque displayed there showing him
as a 1995 Inductee.

"David Ristenbatt began his career as he grew up in the vacuum business
started by his father in 1957. He assumed store manager responsibilities
of Ristenbatt Vacuum Cleaner Service in 1975 and eventually became
president in the mid-1980's. Under David's leadership, the business,
which began in a small store operated out of a garage and developed
into a thriving, multi-store operation, continues to grow and prosper.
"David now operates two stores in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Both
stores represent the best of what independent vacuum dealers have to
offer. They are well-kept, well-lit and very inviting to customers.
David's stores also stock over 25,000 parts. This extensive inventory
and David's commitment to customer service give Ristenbatt Vacuum Cleaner
Service one of the best repair departments in the business. David takes
great pride in being able to repair a customer's vacuum cleaner in less
than 3 days -- no matter how bad the problem is.
"Since the very beginning, David and his family have always operated
their vacuum business by the highest Christian values, treating customers
and employees with dignity and respect."
