Powerful 12 Amp. System

The main suction canister and its motorized power nozzle work together to create a powerful 12 Amp power team that produces strong suction and good agitation for deep cleaning any type of carpeted floors. Featuring lifetime lubricated ball bearings and well balanced motor parts in both the suction motor and power nozzle motor, it will perform quietly for many years.

Deluxe Power Nozzle

This Panasonic power team has one of the best power nozzles available. It features a reinforced, banded V-belt for positive power transfer from the motor and a brush roll with two rows of bristles for rigorous agitation to deep clean of your carpets. Being reinforced and held tight by a steal tension spring, the belt will not stretch nor slip like the flat rubber belts used on most power nozzles. If a large object inadvertently enters the cleaning nozzle and drastically slows or stops the brush roll and motor, its overload protector reacts quickly to shut off and protect the belt and nozzle motor. A floor brush for cleaning non-carpeted floors is carried conveniently in the top of the vacuum.

Dirt Collection Area with Center Mounted Air Intake

Located just behind the revolving brush roll in the power nozzle is a special flat dirt collection area. This area is uniquely designed to enhance dirt and grit pickup and reduce the scatter effect which many power nozzles and uprights experience. It is a space about 2" high and 1 1/4" deep that runs across most of the width of the nozzle. A vertical partition extends downward from the top between this area and the brush roll, leaving an opening about 1" high along the bottom just behind the brush roll. Most of the dirt and grit picked up by the brush roll is thrown directly into this area through the opening and whisk away by the air flow before it can bounce back out of the nozzle.

This dirt collection area also distributes the air flow quite evenly across most of the brush roll for more efficient and uniform cleaning. The air passage created by this collection area allows the air to easily flow from anywhere in the brush roll housing, through it and into the air intake which is located in the center of the area's back wall.

Convenient Finger Tip On/Off Switch

With the Panasonic MC-CG973, you have complete control right at your finger tips with the remote control dual voltage electrified hose. The hose mounted remote power switch give you the ability to to easily turn the unit on and off with you finger tips. You can even use the power nozzle to clean small areas of bare floors by stopping the power nozzle motor and brush roll with a flip of the remote power switch.

Convenient Swivel Hose

The 6' hose can swivel freely for 360°, enabling you to work conveniently near the machine. This feature also reduces sideways stresses on the hose which can significantly shorten its life span, causing it to tear prematurely. The hose diameter is oversize as well, enhancing the power team's air flow by reducing the internal resistance from the hose.

Convenient Covered Attachment Storage

The Panasonic model MC-CG973 carries its standard attachments conveniently tucked away in the covered tool storage on the main unit where they are always easily accessible. This design reduces the risk of bumping these attachments, accidentally knocking them from the vacuum cleaner. The hose and wands incorporate steel buttons which securely hold the attachments on them while allowing easy switching of attachment when moving to a different cleaning task.

Additional Deluxe Features

The high filtration Micron paper bag and fan-fold HEPA exhaust filter reduce recirculation of dust and allergens back into your home. The large, easy rolling rear wheels, swiveling front wheel and light weight design allow the cleaner to be conveniently pulled after you by its hose. When finished with your cleaning tasks, the 24' power cord automatically rewinds back into the cleaner with a light touch of the rewind button.
