Miele Blizzard CX1 PureSuction PowerLine Vacuum Cleaner Introduction

Washable Cyclonic Chamber and Dirt Bin

The Miele Blizzard PureSuction PowerLine vacuum cleaner incorporated a unique cyclonic chamber with dirt collection bin plus a large area fan-fold dust filter and a lifetime Hygiene exhaust filter to provide the high performance for which Miele is so well known. Air carrying the dirt enters the cyclonic chamber on an angle, creating a spinning action which moves the dirt and dust outward and into the collection bin. Air is extracted from the center of the cyclonic chamber through a conical filter screen. It, and the attached air ducts, can be easily removed for occasional cleaning when visiably dirty. The main dirt bin is easily emptied through the large door at its bottom. A special fine dust chamber collects the smaller particles seperately from the main dirt bin. The whole dirt collection bin and cyconic chamber can be cleaned under running water if desired. The Miele Blizzard series vacuums fill a void in the availability of durable, high performing canister vacuums that provide years of low cost operation.

Large Area Gore CleanStream Filter Cartridge

After the air passes through the cyclonic chamber, it reaches the special self-cleaning Gore CleanStream Dust Filter. Over five inches high and 3.5" in diameter, this fan-fold filter contains 360 square inches of special Gore filter media which enables the air to pass through easily while trapping virtually all the very fine dust. Sitting vertically in the vacuum, the fine dust easily falls off of it when the vacuum isn't running so there is never a problem of blockage of the air flow like so many other bagless vacuums experience. Even so, Miele incorporated a special ComfortClean process wherein, when the vacuum senses more restriction due to dust buildup on this filter, it will turn off, shake the filter media for twenty seconds, and start up again. This also can be initialized by pressing the ComfortClean button on the vacuum. One of Miele's goals with a bagless vacuum is to minimize contact with floating fine dust and dirt when removing collected debris. They expect users to empty and clean the Gore CleanStream filter and container about every six months. We recommend running water into the fine dust container and shaking it to settle the dust inside before removing the filter for additional cleaning and drying.

Sealed System with Lifetime Hygiene Exhaust Filter

Using the Miele Blizzard CX1 PureSuction PowerLine canister vacuum differs from your typical home vacuum cleaner because of its special high filtration capabilities and its Sealed System™. This means that the sub-micrometer dust you pick up actually reaches the high filtration exhaust filter and is not blown out through minute cracks in the case or around the exhaust filter like many competing cleaners with high filtration exhaust filters. The combination of a Cyclonic Chamber with dirt bin, large area premotor Gore dust filter and lifetime Hygiene exhaust filter provides very clean exhausted air while keeping your operational costs at a minimum.

Efficient Miele Vortex Suction Motor

The powerful 1200 Watt, Miele Vortex suction motor produces plenty of suction for cleaning all heights of carpets when used with its SEB 228 Powerbrush. As such it is a very effective 1440 watt (12 Amps.) power team...both in its ability to pick up dirt and allergens and in its ability to retain them. This high performance motor has fan parts that are aerodynamically designed with no parallel surfaces and nine long fan scoops compared to the typical six shorter ones. These scoops are quite wide near the hub of the fan and become more narrow toward the outer edge similar to that of a jet engine compressor. This single stage "compressor design" optimizes the air flow and increases the overall motor efficiency. Featuring lifetime lubricated ball bearings, well balanced motor parts, enhanced motor suspension and lining of the motor housing, the Miele Blizzard PureSuction PowerLine vacuum will perform quietly for many years. Convenient Electronic Motor Power Control

The Blizzard CX1 PureSuction PowerLine vacuum is also equipped with a variable motor power control with four click stops. It is completely variable from minimum to maximum to enable you to easily select the proper amount of power for cleaning anything from draperies to plush carpeting. Reducing the suction prevents curtains, upholstery or area rugs from inadvertently being drawn into the cleaning nozzle. Versatile Stainless Steel Telescopic Wand

The stainless steel telescopic wand on the Miele CX1 PureSuction PowerLine vacuums can be adjusted to match your individual stature. For storage, it collapses to about half height to save storage space. It is well sealed at all joints to maintain Miele's outstanding performance. This is a good example of how Miele goes to great lengths, even with small details, to ensure the quality, performance and beauty of their products.

Combination Rug/Bare Floor Nozzle

The Miele CX1 Blizzard Canister is packaged with the SBD 365-3 Combination Rug/Bare Floor Nozzle which can be used on bare floors as well as low nap carpets. If you have a lot of non-carpeted floors you may wish to purchase the optional SBB 300-3 Parquet Twister Floor Brush which is even nicer with its long, soft bristles.

This deluxe combination tool has a top mounted lever to switch between carpets and bare floors. For bare floors brush strips along the front and back pop out to provide non-scratching brushing action. Notches along the front allow dirt to easily enter the nozzle. For carpets and rugs, the brush strip can be recessed, allowing the channeled sole plate to contact the carpet, pulling air through the nap to clean it. The elbow has a long tab which holds this nozzle securely in the parking slot on the side of this vacuum.

All Four Wheels Swivel 360°

The Miele Blizzard PureSuction PowerLine vacuum cleaners are designed to track nicely behind you as you pull them by the hose. They are equipped with four wheels which turn a full 360° making them very easy to maneuver and very stable. Going over electrical cords, door thresholds and around furniture is a breeze.
