Unsatisfactory Product - Most
people can tell whether a vacuum cleaner is right for their needs and
preferences during the first few times they use it. In the event that you
purchase a household vacuum cleaner and are not happy with its
performance, design or construction, call us within 15 days of
receipt to arrange for its return. If a household vacuum cleaner is
returned to us in reasonable condition,
typical of careful use for 15
days, we will refund your full purchase
price. In this situation no restocking fee will be applied so
your only cost is the shipping back to us. You will not be required
to pay for the shipping to you if it was free when your vacuum was
ordered. However, if you refuse to accept delivery
of your shipment,
the cost of returning it to Ristenbatt Vacuum as well as the cost of
shipping it to you will be deducted from your refund. All items included or
given free with a purchase must be returned
or their value will be deducted from the refund. If you purchased extra
paper bags or other supplies with a vacuum cleaner, only unopened
packages are refundable.
Signs of excessive or careless use, as well as commercial use,
may result in a restocking fee based on the degree of damage to the
product from these types of use. Due to the use of liquids in steam
cleaners, floor washers and wet/dry vacs, they can not be returned for
a refund. Products which are modified in any way such as
drilling, cutting, mounting extra parts or removing standard parts are not
refundable. Some products, which we do not stock and promote on our
website, can be special ordered but these are not refundable.
Defective Product - The design and
performance of the products we promote and sell are quite good including
the manufacturing materials and processes with their quality controls. It
is extremely rare for a customer to receive a defective product. All
products that we sell on our website are new and in their original boxes
or packaging from the manufacturer. In the event that you receive a
defective or damaged product, call us toll free as soon as possible to
arrange to have the situation corrected. We typically will ship a new one
as soon as possible and arrange for your return of the defective one to
us. We will pay the shipping both ways so there is no additional cost to
you.
Shipping Damage - UPS is also quite
good in their handling of boxes we ship. If you receive a box with obvious
shipping damage like crushing or poked holes, you can refuse its delivery.
It is often better to open the box to check for product damage. Anytime
you receive a damaged product, call us at 800-413-2778 or UPS at
800-742-5877 as soon as possible. UPS will contact you and send a
driver out to pick up the damaged shipment if its value is above $100.
We insure all shipments for replacement cost so you are not at risk of
loss from shipping damage. We will do everything we can to correct the
situation in a timely manner with no additional cost to you.

The manufacturers of the vacuum cleaners, etc. provide written Limited
Warranties with their products. We are a Factory Authorized Dealer for
all brands we sell on our website so the manufacturer warranties on those
purchased from us are honored by them. Typically these are for one
year but sometimes they are for two or more years. Vacuum cleaners
purchased from Ristenbatt Vacuum Cleaner Service can be returned to us or
taken to your closest Factory Authorized Warranty Dealer or Factory
Service Center for these warranty repairs. The cost of returning a vacuum
cleaner or part for repair or replacement is not covered by most
warranties.
As a reflection our confidence in the quality of many models we sell,
we provide free
Two Year Limited Warranty
and free
Five Year Limited Suction Motor Warranty
for them. Should you need repairs under these
warranties, please call us at 800-413-2778 to arrange to return the
defective item to us. We will repair or replace the item, typically within
a day or two, and return it to you. Your only cost will be the shipping
charges to us. We prefer to have our own skilled technicians do these
warranty repairs so we are assured that they are done properly and in a
timely manner.
Orders placed online can be cancelled while the status is showing as
"Received" or "Processing." Sometimes those showing as "Packaged" can be
cancelled but only if they have not been physically shipped. Order
cancellation must be done by calling us at 800-413-2778 during our regular
business hours. Due to possible delays in e-mail systems, e-mail may not
be dependable enough to reach us before an order is shipped. If you
refuse to accept delivery of your shipment, the cost of returning it
to Ristenbatt Vacuum as well as the cost of shipping it to you will be
