* The Miele Sirius, Luna and Orion are packaged with
Miele's new SBB 300-3
Parquet Floor Brush which works really nice for cleaning all
types of non-carpeted floors. Miele intents that these vacuums be used
only for bare floors or that you purchase an optional carpet cleaning
nozzle if you have rugs or carpets. Optional carpet attachments
include the SBD 450-3 Rug/Bare
Floor Nozzle and STB 205-3
Turbobrush. An alternate to the Miele Sirius is to purchase the similar
Miele S4210 Carina which is packaged
with the SBD 450-3 Rug/Bare
Floor Nozzle instead of the Parquet Floor Brush. However, the
Miele Carina does not include the HEPA exhaust filter.
All Miele vacuums in their S4 Galaxy Series, when used
with an Active Certified HEPA
Exhaust Filter, join the others in their S500 and S600
series which represent the world's first ever HEPA certified vacuum
cleaner system. People especially concerned with indoor-air quality
will be pleased to know that the filtration system with optional
Certified HEPA filter in the Miele S4 Galaxy vacuums was tested
by the DMT Air Quality Test Institute and certified that it is in
compliance with the stringent EN 1822 standard.
